How's the Market?

May Market Snapshot

• For the first half of 2023, active listings were 50% new construction homes. That decreased in May to 40%. Many local builders have brought back promotions to entice Buyers. 
• Appreciation so far this year is at 3.8%, which is in the normal range of 3-4%. The double digit increases we saw in the past few years are gone for now. 
• Total inventory is up 24% compared to last year but sales are down 24.5%. That can be attributed to the lack of inventory, which is creating a Seller's market in homes priced under $350,000, where there is less than two months of inventory. A balanced market is when there is four to six months of inventory.

Proud to Announce I am a Lion!

Last week, I was inducted as a member of the West Fargo Lions Club! I'm excited to be a part of the largest service organization in the world, Lions Clubs International and to do my part to improve the world through kindness!

Lions are best known for serving and advocating for the blind and visually impaired. In addition to vision, our global causes include diabetes, hunger, environment and childhood cancer.

My Green Thumb

My favorite perennial is the Globe Master Allium.  It is the first thing to bloom in our yard. It comes and goes in one glorious month.  I wish it lasted all summer!
